Title: Keeper of the Rural Pixels
Years of Service: Over two decades (but who’s counting?)
About Me:
Twenty-some years ago, my dad (one of the founding members of this illustrious group) sweet-talked me into donating my time and server space to host the National Rural Social Workers Caucus website. He called it a “family favor”; I called it “a deal I couldn’t refuse.” Little did I know, I’d still be here 20+ years later, proudly wearing the badge of “webmaster.”
When I’m not wrangling code or debugging servers, I can be found living the rural life in northern Michigan. My wife and I spend our days farming and rescuing farm animals, because what’s a little chaos without goats and chickens running the show? Turns out, fixing websites and fixing fences have a lot in common: patience, perseverance, and an uncanny ability to improvise.
It’s been an honor to support a cause that makes a difference in rural communities. Plus, it’s not every day you get to say your dad suckered you into something that turned out to be pretty cool.
